Suicide bomber kills four, injures 48 in Potiskum, Yobe state

There was another bomb blast today, January
18 from a suicide bomber who drove in a Golf
car. He rammed the car, hitting a Petrol Station
in Potiskum, Yobe State. He killed four, including
himself and injured 48 people.

Police recover human head in Lagos

The Lagos State Police Command on
Wednesday said it recovered a human head in
Olokodana junction in Ebute-Meta area of Lagos.
The spokesperson of the command, Kenneth
Nwosu, confirmed the development.
The lifeless head was said to have been dropped
by unknown persons in the early hours of
Wednesday.
According to Nwosu, the head belonging to a
male has been deposited in the morgue at Yaba
General Hospital, Lagos.

Mob kills men in Guinea suspected of spreading Ebola

Two men were killed and their bodies
burned by an angry mob in Guinea convinced
that the victims infected a local with Ebola, in
the latest violence spurred by the deadly
disease, police said Wednesday.
Residents of the western village of Dar-es-
Salaam attacked a group of three police officers
and their driver who stopped there Saturday
while on their way to a funeral.
Also read: Liberia says limits Ebola spread to
just two counties
During their visit, one in the group gave a
sedative to a local healer who was suffering from
an unknown illness.

NNPC rallies Nigerians to fight pipeline vandalism

The Nigerian National Petroleum
Corporation (NNPC) has called on Nigerians,
especially those living in communities close to
pipelines, to see them as their own and protect
them.
This is contained in a statement issued on
Tuesday in Abuja by the Group General Manager,
Group Public Affairs Department, Ohi Alegbe.
It said the corporation made the plea at the flag-
off of a two-day Anti-Pipeline Vandalism
Campaign in Idimu, Alimosho Local Government
Area, Lagos State.
