Meet The Adorable Baby Girl Born Without A Nose And She Can’t Stop Smiling

“Proud mom, Gráinne Evans, 30, said:
“At first I just couldn’t understand it, I
didn’t even know it was possible.
“How did my little girl not have a
nose? Was she going to live? Would
anyone be able to help her?
“But ever since we got her home she’s
grown every day, smiled more and
shone brighter, and the more she
shines the more her differences fade
into the background.
“Tessa is so petite but she’s the most
determined little girl I know, she
adores her big brother and sister,
copies everything they do and despite
her ‘disabilities’ is already a typical,
fearless toddler who climbs the
furniture and loves to dance.
“Everyone who meets her instantly
falls in love with her. We just want her
to inspire other people like she
inspires us.”
Gráinne, who chose to have a natural
water birth, had no idea that her
daughter would be born without a
nose until she lifted her new-born out
of the birth pool for the first time.
Weeks after giving birth to her
extraordinary daughter, Gráinne
discovered a horrifying journal online
which stated that babies born like
Tessa had poor mental and physical
development and implied parents
should be given the option to
terminate their pregnancy.
The full time care giver and mother-
of-three from Maghera, County Derry,
says that her daughter proves that
statement wrong and wants to raise
awareness about the condition and to
make sure every child born with
arhinia around the world is loved and
looked after.
Gráinne said: “I was so excited to
have a natural birth for the first time,
but as soon as I saw her face I knew
something was wrong.
“I was in shock and I just froze. The
midwife cut the cord before I could
even say anything and whisked her
away from me.”
Gráinne’s pregnancy had been
completely normal but at her 20-week
scan an abnormally flat facial profile
was detected.
Gráinne and her husband Nathan, 32,
a nightclub manager, were told to
prepare to make difficult decisions but
the follow up 3-D scan and tests
revealed Tessa was perfectly healthy
and everything was normal.
But sadly what was meant to be the
happiest moment of Grainne’s life
turned into the most horrifying
nightmare.
Gráinne said: “The whole thing is a
complete blur and I don’t remember
much, Nathan has had to fill in the
blanks.
“There were alarm bells ringing and I
was so frightened I couldn’t stand
without fainting, I just wanted to hold
my baby and know she was okay.
“Doctors were able to stabilize her so
she could breathe on her own and
eventually I was allowed to hold her
for a few seconds. I kissed her
forehead and told her I loved her
before they took her away.
“I felt so lonely and helpless, I was
supposed to protect my baby and be
able to help but I couldn’t, there were
tubes coming out of her tiny little
body everywhere.
“She spent her first five weeks in a
neonatal intensive care unit, which
were undoubtedly the worst weeks of
my life.”
It wasn’t until a few days later that
Grainne and Nathan realized how rare
their daughter’s facial anomaly was.
There are just 47 recorded cases in
the English records of people with
partial or full anomalies.
Gráinne said: “Nathan has been so
strong from the very beginning. He
accepted it and loved our baby girl
instantly, even sending me a picture of
her from NICU thanking me for the
best Valentines present ever.
“I couldn’t have coped without him
and the incredible support of our
extended family.”
Gráinne worried about what people
would think of her daughter’s face.
“I found coming to terms with how
others might react to Tessa’s
difference a real struggle and was too
scared of what people would think of
her to even go outside at first.
“The charity ‘Changing Faces’ was a
great source of support and
information as was the cranio-facial
charity ‘Headlines.’
“Wearing Tessa in a sling gave me the
confidence to first go out in public,
since it gave me control over who
could see her.
“Now when we are out and about I’m
no longer afraid of what people might
think. In fact I think she will help
people see that ‘different’ can be
beautiful too.”
Now, the family looks forward to what
the future might bring.
Gráinne said: “As a family we have
been through so much in the last
year. We’ve laughed, cried, struggled
and watched our baby succeed.I found coming to terms with how

FINALLY! ’Jonathan Agrees To Meet Parents Of Chibok Girls After Meeting With Malala

For the first time since the abduction of
hundreds of schoolgirls from
Government Girls Secondary School,
Chibok, Borno State, in April, President
Goodluck Jonathan is to meet with their
parents “in the next 24 hours”. Seven of
the parents are said to have died already
as a result of the traumatic incident
which drew global attention. Jonathan
has also promised that the abducted
schoolgirls will get scholarships. The
scholarships will cover those who have
escaped from captivity so far and those
who will escape or be rescued later.

He disclosed his plans when he played
host to 17-year-old Malala Yousafzai, the
young Pakistani girl-child education
advocate who was shot by the Taliban
three years ago for her campaign.
Yousafzai is currently in the country to
support girl-child education and drum
up support for the release of the Chibok
schoolgirls in commemoration of Malala
Day ─ the day set aside by the United
Nations for global attention on girl-child
education. Jonathan also briefed Malala
on the efforts of his government to
attack poverty and illiteracy in the
north-eastern part of the country.
Malala told journalists after the meeting
that her foundation had raised $200,000
in support of the education of the
abducted girls on their return. She said:
“I am here in Nigeria on my 17th
birthday for a price which is to see that
every child goes to school. This year, my
objective is to speak up for my Nigerian
sisters about 200 of them who are under
the abduction of Boko Haram and I met
the President Goodluck Jonathan for this
purpose. “I conveyed the voice of my
sisters who are out of school or who are
still under the abduction of Boko Haram.
And for those girls who escaped from the
abduction but still do not have
education.

And in the meeting, I highlighted the
same issues which the girls and their
parents told me in the past two days.
“The parents said they really want to
meet with the president to share their
stories with him. And I asked the
president if he wants to meet with the
parents of the girls, the president
assured me that he would meet with
them. “I spoke to the president about the
girls who complain that they cannot go to
school despite the fact that they want to
become doctors, engineers and teachers.
But the government is not providing
them any facility. They also need health
facility, security, and the government is
not doing anything. “These are the issues
I presented to the president today.

And the president fortunately promised
me that he will do something for these
girls and he promised me that the girls
under the abduction of Boko Haram will
be released as soon as possible. This is
the promise the president made and I
am hopeful that his promise will come
through and we will soon see those girls
return soon. “I am hopeful that these two
promises, the return of the girls from
Boko Haram and meeting with their
parents will be fulfilled and we will see
it soon. Even though the promises have
been made, it does not mean I am going
to stop talking. I will be counting days
and I will be looking when those girls
are going to be returning home.

“I can’t stop this campaign until I see
those girls return back to their families
and continue the agitation. This is the
position of the Malala foundation. My
father and I and the entire family want
to speak out for those 10.5 million
children who are out of school. They
have no access to education because of
many problems. And I am hopeful that
the international community will take
serious action because if we think this
country is in Africa and is not going to
affect other countries, we are really
wrong. “If we leave 10.5 million
children illiterate, these children can
become terrorists, they can be violated
and they can be deprived of their basic
human rights, at the end they will not be
able to help their country in developing.
So if we want the whole world to be
successful, it is important that every
child should go to school.

Unfortunately, in Nigeria, only 1.5% of
the budget is spent on education which
is a small amount compared to Pakistan
which has increased its own to 4%.
“Money spent on education should
definitely be increased. This is how this
country is going to be developed and i
believe in the power of education. If
Nigeria must have a bright future, every
child must have an opportunity to go to
school.”

Paul Okoye's Hilarious Response To A Fan...

conversation below :Paul Okoye, one of the sensational Music duo
Psquare, has hilariously replied a fan who
tried to ‘famz’ the Nigerian international act
recently.

The married musician who is working on a
collaboration with American rapper T. I
updated his Facebook page revealing how
many people complain he is being biased when
it comes to sending out birthday wishes to his
fans. He however decided to send out his own
special birthday wishes out to all his fan
celebrating their birthdays from 1st of January
to 31st of December to ‘close the case’.

Some minutes after the update, a fan claiming
to know him from way back, commented on
the post accusing the singer of forgetting her
despite their history, and even poked him
further about not wishing her a happy
birthday….Paul Okoye’s funny response may
get you giggling. Read the screenshot of the

The presenters often begin reading the latest

before gradually beginning to simultaneously
undress.
Their World Cup reports began on YouTube,
but moved to Vimeo.

Dead body on stretcher flies out of coroner’ van and into traffic

BUCKS COUNTY, Penn. — A dead body on a
stretcher flew out of a coroner’s van and into
traffic after a malfunction in the van’s door.

The Bucks County Courier Times reported
that it happened Friday near a shopping
center in Feasterville, Pa.
The Coroner’s Office said the driver of the
van returned to get the corpse “in a manner
of seconds.”
“Care was taken to respect the deceased
individual in this instance. The Bucks County
Coroner’s Office deeply regrets this incident
and will take steps to ensure that it is not
repeated in the future,” the Bucks County
Coroner’s Office said in a prepared
statement.
Many cars were reportedly driving around the
stretcher, but Bucks County resident Jerry
Bradley stopped to help get the body back to
the driver.

“I thought someone was playing a prank.
Someone is pranking people,” Bradley said,
according to the paper. “It was the most
bizarre thing I’d ever seen.”
Bradley took a picture of the stretcher in
traffic and posted it to Facebook, where it
got more than 2,000 shares.

Actress Chika Ike Shares Photo Of Herself Cooking

Nollywood actress Chika Ike took to Facebook
to show her fans what a wonderful hostess
she is.

It is unclear where Chika finds time to manage
all the things she is doing. One moment the
Nigerian beauty is on the set , another moment
she is working out in the gym to keep fit; one
day we hear about her having become the
Refugee Ambassador for Displaced persons ,
and days later news surface she has graduated
from the film academy in New York.
Hours ago Chika shared the following photo of
herself cooking and thanked her mother for
teaching her how to do it.

"My cooking skills are still intact. Thanks to
my mum who trained me well!!! It doesn’t just
look Good! It tastes good!!!! Wanna try?

Burna Boy Goes Weird on Social Media, Calls Blogger Desperate Animal

Few days go reports went viral that music artiste
Burna Boy has fired his mother from being his
manager. According to the artiste, his mother,
Bose Ogulu has been his manager for a long time
and she has led him through the right path.

He said at this point in his life, he has to find his
own manager, so his mother is no longer his
manager and all bookings should be directed to
his personal bookings mail. As usual, some
bloggers put it up and painted it in a way that
got the artiste pissed.

A certain blogger took to her blog and said “I just
wonder if there is no better way he could have
done this, did he have to do this on twitter
considering it is his mother, could he not have
simply said my mum has stepped down because
she feels this is as far as she can go or any other
excuse? Because to me it seems as if he is
publicly sacking his mother” she wrote.

A fan said why does she have to misinterpret
everything, then Burna boy after seeing this post
attacked the blogger on twitter and said “I did
not fire my mum I made an announcement
because if I didn't people would still be bothering
her with my bookings” just when the blogger
replied that saying thank God he has cleared the
air and congratulated him on his new video, the
pissed Burna Boy said;

I hope God punishes you for trying to make
something outta nothing. You desperate animal
another fan of his advised him not to be angry,
that the blogger is only trying to push her blog.”

Wole Soyinka at 80 and the Quest for the Ori Olokun of Ife

The first African Nobel Laureate in Literature Prof.
Wole Soyinka is 80 years old today, born on July
13, 1934. And this enigmatic and phenomenal
genius is famous for his dare devil exploits
including the one that landed him in jail.
In 1965, he seized the Western Nigeria
Broadcasting Service studio and broadcast a
demand for the cancellation of the Western
Nigeria Regional Elections. In 1967 during the
Nigerian Civil War, he was arrested by the federal
government of General Yakubu Gowon and put in
solitary confinement for two years after he
secretly and unofficially met with the military
governor Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu in the
Southeastern town of Enugu (August 1967), to try
to avert civil war. Go and read his "The Man
Died" for his prison notes. But his quest for the
return of the classic masterpiece Ori Olokun of Ife
would make a thriller for the movies.
In 1978, Wole Soyinka was made aware of the
existence of a bronze head in a private collection
in Brazil – similar to the disputed one discovered
by the famous German archaeologist Leo
Frobenius (29 June 1873 – 9 August 1938) in
1910, which now stood in the Ife Museum, but of
far greater quality. In his memoir "You Must Set
Forth at Dawn" (2007), Soyinka recalls how, in a
spirit of cultural duty, and with the knowledge of
the Nigerian authorities, he mounted a kind of
guerrilla raid with a group of friends, stealing the
object from the apartment in question in near-
farcical circumstances, and removing it to the
Senegalese capital Dakar, where experts
proclaimed it genuine. Suspicious, however, of the
lightness of the object, Soyinka examined it
further to find the letters “BM” stamped on the
back: it was a British Museum replica, once sold
in the museum’s shop. Soyinka then declared the
British Museum’s head to be the real 'Ori
Olokun", even though it was excavated 18 years
after Frobenius’s original discovery.

Double Trouble! Meet the class where half of the pupils are twins

STAFF at a primary school are getting used to
seeing double because morning roll-call reveals
that almost half the pupils in one class are
twins.

Of the 25 youngsters in Year Six there are five
sets of twins with two being identical.
And in every case the elder twin is smaller than
their sibling - and all five pairs have an older
brother or stepbrother.
It's all a bit of a "twincredible" challenge for
teacher Kim Kirk but he manages to tell who's
who by keeping the 11-year-olds apart during
lessons at St Anne's Church of England school in
Waterfoot, near Bacup, Lancs.
The youngest are Emily and Teddy Murphy with
Emily arriving first, because she says, "Teddy
kicked me out".

The only ones I really struggle
with are Michael and Peter
because they are so alike

Mr Kirk, teacher at St Anne's
Church of England school
Identical Michael and Peter Stevens admitted to
playing tricks at their previous school when they
switched places for a lesson and Michael
recalled how his big brother visited his mother in
hospital after they were born and asked: "Are we
going to have to take both of them home."
Now they have separate bedrooms but creep into
each other's to sleep "because we are used to
being together".
The other identical twins are Amy and Hayley
Robinson and even though they now have
different lengths of hair their Scout leader is still
unable to tell them apart
Mercede Love claims "you are never alone when
you have a twin" while sister Madagan thinks it's
good to have a twin "because they can keep
secrets". Kieran and Shelbie Wood admit they clash often
but say they share a sixth sense after Kieran
knew something had happened to Shelbie when
she was knocked down even though they were
not together.
Teacher Mr Kirk said: "The only ones I really
struggle with are Michael and Peter because they
are so alike but I have placed all the twins apart
in the classroom and that makes life easier."

Chris Brown And Drake Might be working on a song together

Mortal enemies Chris Brown and Drake
proved their long-standing and sometimes
violent Rihanna beef may finally be over for
good and they might be sealing the truce
with new music.
Drake posted a pic last night of himself and
Chris in a recording studio and Breezy looks
like he’s LOVING whatever music they’re
listening to at the moment. Could a post RiRi
collabo be coming?
There were rumors the feud was over, but
this is the first visual evidence. Pretty
amazing considering the beef exploded 2
years ago in a massive brawl at W.I.P.
nightclub in NYC. Chris and a bodyguard
were left bloodied, and NBA star Tony Parker
suffered a serious eye injury.
The peace has been brewing since last April
when we spotted Chris in a club dancing to
“Started From the Bottom” but, yeah they’ve
come a really long way.

Those naked selfies you thought you deleted? They could be accessed by your smartphone’s new owner

Remember those naked selfies you took years
ago? Well, someone may still be able to find
them after all.

Even if you’ve deleted them from your old Android
smartphone, researchers who managed to retrieve
images off handsets they bought from eBay have
claimed you’re still not safe.

Avast, a company that makes security software,
discovered more than 40,000 images from 20
phones that included half-naked women and
pictures of male genitalia.
They were able to access the images using basic
forensic security programs, despite users having
used factory reset which, although it wipes the
index that points to the data locations, doesn’t
eliminate storage areas that can be accessed
directly.

It means anyone who sells their phone could
potentially have their personal photos accessed,
as well as other sensitive information such as
addresses.

The Android OS maker Google said the versions
of its system from 3.0 onwards are more difficult
to hack once data had been deleted.
Newer iPhones and iPads are not thought to be
prone to the same issues due to the way their
data is encrypted, making it unreadable after a
reset.

US football coach suspended after twerking on players

A Florida middle school football coach has been
suspended after being accused of ‘twerking on
players’.
Courtney Spruill, an assistant football coach at
Kernan Middle School – where students are aged
between 11 and 14 – reportedly turned up to an
end-of-season party hosted by one of her players
with a bottle of vodka, where she showed
students how to twerk and also received a lap
dance.
One student told investigators the team was
dancing before Spruill told them to put away their
phones and ‘showed them a few moves.’

Spruill, who also teaches health and physical
education at the school, was suspended without
pay for 15 days, with an investigation concluding
there was enough evidence to sustain ‘the gross
exercise of poor judgement’.
Evidence included a video of the lap dance, which
was ‘approximately 3-4 minutes long’.
One mother told CBS she hoped Ms Spruill would
not be teaching her daughter.
‘You wonder why kids act they way they do these
days,’ she said.
‘The focus should be on education, not twerking.’
