St Genevieve new collection debuts today on Jumia.com exclusively

Nigeria’s Award Winning Actress Genevieve Nnaji and Jumia Nigeria have partnered to launch the new collection of St Genevieve, exclusive to jumia in Nigeria.

The new collection launching today showcases the fashion sense and 'Red Carpet' style. The collection is themed around pieces from chic to formal to casual with pieces that look like they came right straight out of Genevieve’s wardrobe.

About 1332 Nigerian soldiers have been quarantined in Liberia over Ebola fears, Leadership Newspaper reports.

A British man has died of suspected Ebola in the Macedonian capital of Skopje.

If confirmed, the unnamed 58-year-old is the first British victim of the Ebola outbreak that has killed thousands in West Africa and has spread to North America and Europe UKDailyMail Reports

Despite Not being to Ebola Affected countries they still got the Virus.

Macedonian TV station Alfa TV reported the patient was admitted to an infection clinic in the city with symptoms of the disease.

When admitted to the hospital, the patient was unable to communicate and passed away shortly after. Tests are underway to find out if he had the disease.

Health officials outside the hospital where the british man died of what is believed to be Ebola.

Court Martial: EU rejects death sentences

The European Union (EU) has rejected the death sentence handed to 12 Nigerian soldiers by the General Court Martial in Nigeria for alleged mutiny.

The EU in a statement issued yesterday on the occasion of the World Day against Death Penalty condemned all death sentences especially after mass trials as was the case with the Nigerian soldiers.
The union, headed by Secretary-General, Mr. Thorbjørn Jagland, argued that execution had stopped in that region of the world for close to two decades

APC says ex-militant, Alhaji Mujaheed Dokubo-Asari, was involved in the $9.3m arms deal which led to the arrest of two Nigerians and an Israeli in South Africa.

The murder and attempted murder convictions of Maarohanye's co-accused, Themba Tshabalala, were also overturned.
Maarohanye was one of South Africa's best-known rappers, but fell from grace after smashing his car into the pupils in Johannesburg's Soweto township in 2010.

The court convicted him of the lesser crime of culpable homicide, or manslaughter.
It reduced his 20-year prison sentence to 10.

Anger as Ebola nurse's dog put down

Health authorities in Spain have put to death the dog of a nurse infected with the Ebola virus in Madrid, sparking protests from animal rights groups.

The nurse, Teresa Romero, is the first person known to have contracted the deadly virus outside West Africa.
She had treated two missionaries who later died from Ebola. The virus has killed 3,879 people, mostly in Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea.
A court order to euthanise Ms Romero's dog was issued on Tuesday despite uncertainty over whether the animal was also infected or risked spreading the disease.

The UK is sending 750 military personnel to Sierra Leone to help deal with the deadly Ebola outbreak, Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond has confirmed.
More than 3,000 people have died in the outbreak, mostly in West Africa.
In Sierra Leone the death toll is at least 678. Save the Children has said the rate of infection is rapidly increasing, with five new cases every hour.
There is no cure or vaccine for Ebola, which has so far infected more than 7,500 people in the worst outbreak yet.
British troops will help to establish treatment centres and a training academy, with the ship and helicopters providing support.

Chinese Embassy in Nigeria denies students visa on grounds of Ebola

The Chinese Embassy in Nigeria has denied visas to some students of Ekiti State University on the grounds of Ebola despite the World Health Organization declaring Nigeria an Ebola free country.

The students were invited to participate in ENACTUS 2014 (Entrepreneurial Action Us), an international competition of young entrepreneurs involving 36 countries slated for 22 – 24th of October 2014 in China in which Nigeria, Senegal, Ghana and Egypt are to represent Africa. But the Chinese Embassy here refused to grant the student visas to go to China.

The Ekiti State University students, who were picked to represent Nigeria having won the ENACTUS Promoted Innovation Competition earlier in the year, have written an open letter about the situation. Find it after the cut...

A South Africa organization, The ANC Youth League - wants rapper Nicki Minaj to pay back the R10million (about $1million) they paid her as part payment for a show that was canceled.

It all started on my way to Dubai where I was weighing 142kg. I will normally get an extra seat belt aboard the flight which for me is normal. Upon arrival at Doha airport, I had a small heart attack which sent me to the emergency unit of the airport. After all the check-ups that I got, all that the doctor could tell me is that i need to loose 50kg of your body weight, if not, i might be at a very high health risk. Even though I have been battling my body fat since 1999 with no result, the expression on the doctor face tells me that I don’t have any other option than to shed the weight.
I tried all sorts of workout in gym, but all in vain.
