Man robs bank in a T-shirt with his name on… oh dear

Thomas Crown, this guy ain’t…

In fact his name is John David Martinez, and he
stands accused of being ever so slightly sloppy in
his preparation for robbing a bank.
Je apparently wore a T-shirt with his first name
on it during his botched heist.

Okay, so John isn’t the most unique of names,
but Martinez made his risible robbery attempt
complete by leaving the crime scene in a silver
Honda registered to himself.
At the Wells Fargo bank in Denver, Colorado, he
apparently kept demands simple, stating: ‘This is
a robbery, give me the money.’
Five hours after the hold up, Martinez was
tracked down to a hotel where he was staying
with his wife.

Local authorities have reported that he confessed
to the crime, explaining that he and his wife had
been evicted from their home three days
previously, and had been staying at the hotel ever
since.

According to Denver Police, Martinez was booked
into Denver Jail on suspicion of felony robbery
involving $20,000 or more.
